More Than 75 Years Of History Farming In Indiana, PA
Fabin Brothers Farms is a family-owned grain farm, elevator and soy processing facility located in Indiana, Pennsylvania. We specialize in growing, marketing and processing soybeans, corn, wheat and hay. Over the years, we have expanded our operations, but the core values of hard work, integrity, and a deep connection to the land remain at the heart of everything we do.
Our grain elevator plays a crucial role in supporting local farmers and strengthening our agricultural community by providing storage, handling, and distribution services.
In 2009 we expanded our operation to include a soybean extrusion plant. This facility allows us to process soybeans into high-protein meal and oil, supporting the local feed industry with high-quality ingredients for livestock. By processing locally grown soybeans, we aim to help reduce transportation costs, increase value-added production in the region, and contribute to the growth and improvement of Pennsylvania’s agricultural economy.
By supporting local farmers, investing in sustainable practices, and fostering partnerships within our community, we hope to drive growth and innovation in the state’s farming industry. We take pride in being part of an effort to strengthen the local economy and create opportunities for the next generation of farmers.

Fabin Brothers Farms Throughout The Decades
With each generation, the Fabin Brothers Farms has evolved—expanding our facilities, refining our practices, and embracing innovation. Take a journey through the decades to see how we’ve grown and transformed.

Shortly after returning from WWII Bob and Millie Fabin bought 308 acres in Indiana County and started a small dairy farm.

In 1985, two of Bob and Millie’s sons, Rick and Stanley, took the reins of the family farm and founded Fabin Brothers Farms. By this time, the farm had grown to around 1,000 acres. Over the next few years, the brothers gradually shifted away from dairy farming, redirecting their focus toward expanding their row crop operations and feeding beef cattle. They also invested in building a grain elevator system, allowing them to buy, store, and market grain from the surrounding farming community.

Having grown the grain elevator and merchandising business significantly over the previous two decades, they further diversified the operations by adding a soybean extrusion plant meeting the local demand for an all-natural, chemical-free expelled soy-based feed ingredient.

Construction of “Pit 3” began, adding an additional 850,000 bushels of storage and grain drying capacity in order to accommodate the growing business and the need to buy and store more grain throughout the year. We currently have 1.3 million bushels of grain storage capacity.

FBF Transport is founded to streamline logistics for grain merchandising and to better serve the needs of our soymeal and oil customers.

Stanley retired in 2019, followed by Rick in early 2023. Rick’s children, Andy and Samantha, have now stepped in as the third generation to lead the company, with a strong vision to continue expanding and diversifying the business for future generations.
